When Kimberly Apel began what was supposed to be a “part-time” job at a community lender, she had no idea her career in the mortgage industry was just taking shape.  During her tenure, the company doubled its employee count and loan volume.  As the company grew, her role evolved and she served in multiple roles ranging from lock desk to accounts payable/payroll clerk to director of operations and human resources.

As the director of operations, Kimberly was instrumental in the development and roll-out of two Loan Origination Systems.  She is well-versed in the institutional impact of a loan origination system transition including cultural, procedural, and economical.  Her strengths are in product execution and cultural impact.

Kimberly offers a unique perspective as she was once a “client” and felt called to be part of the matchbox team.  Her background is such that she chooses to be a voice of stability in the midst of change for other mortgage lenders going through a similar transition.  Kimberly is blessed to share this life with her husband and two amazing children.  Her family is her greatest accomplishment and source of pride.
